We believe fly fishing should be available to all, regardless of income. Our pricing reflects the value of our time and expertise, while our sliding scale helps make this experience possible for more youth.

Standard Rates

These rates include gear, instruction, and guided access to beautiful waters in the Driftless Region

  • Ideal for curious kids ready to learn, explore, and grow on the water.

    This beginner-friendly adventure introduces young anglers to the world of fly fishing through hands-on learning, mentorship, and nature-based confidence building. We keep it light, safe, and fun—while nurturing independence, patience, and pride in their growth. No experience needed, all gear provided.

  • Designed for duos who want to connect and experience something new together.

    This special outing brings adult and child together for a meaningful experience in nature— learning side by side, building trust, and making memories. Whether you’re both beginners or one’s a seasoned angler, this trip centers connection, conversation, and time well spent.

  • Perfect for young adults seeking skill, focus, and purpose.

    This guided experience is tailored for older youth who are ready for more challenge, autonomy, and reflection. Alongside instruction in casting, fly selection, and reading the water, we focus on self-reliance, ethics, and the quiet strength that comes from mastering a craft.

To ensure equitable access, we offer reduced rates based on household income. This program is supported in part by full-paying clients who share our mission of mentorship and outdoor connection.

Tier A: Moderate Assistance
For families with incomes appx 200-300% of the Federal Poverty Level

To apply, please email us at dalton@couleekingfisher.com with the subject line “Sliding Scale Request.”
Include one of the following:

  • The first page of your most recent tax return

  • Two recent pay stubs

  • OR a letter from a counselor or social worker confirming financial need

We’ll respond within 3 business days with available options. All information is kept strictly confidential.
